Meet Lilly

I know, I know but I can't seem to help myself. Well it started with I wanted to have a friend for Jewel when I wean her in 5 months. So I've been watching for weanlings and yearlings. Lilly is a 10 month old registered Quarter Horse filly that has an injury to her back left fetlock growth plate, the one she is resting. Her options are to have surgery (expensive) or complete quiet rest for 6 months. She is small for her age. Her previous owner, Hollie, felt she needed to find her a new home so in step Bob and myself. We brought Lilly home last night. For now she will remain in a 12x12 stall. As she gets better we will enlarge her stall to include a run. Our hope is that she will be all better and I can put her and Jewel together for the winter. I'm very excited. She is a sweet little girl. More pictures later.... :)
