Update on Ruby's Baby

I called Dr Belles to come out a do an Ultrasound on Ruby so we could know for sure when she was due to foal. The good news is she is pregnant, the bad news is she is not due in April but probably in July.
Hannah and Chad came out to watch the procedure.
Ruby was perfect. She just stood there and waited for Dr. Belles to finish with her job. I'm actually glad Ruby isn't due to foal until summer. The weather will be so much better than having a baby in mud. I'll keep you posted. ;)

Midnight & Shasta

After just 2 weeks Tim was riding both Shasta & Midnight. I'm impressed. I'll load video when I can get to it. :)

Fun in the Snow

Midnight & Sky playing in the snow. They are not in the same pasture so they run back and forth along the fenceline. Pretty cute.Frankie hanging out on the computer desk.

Lady loves the snow.
Ernie longing to be outside.

Midnight & Sky Playing in the Snow

Winter 2008

We have had dump after dump of snow in January. They say this is the biggest snow since 1969. The above picture is the a perfect example of tooooo much snow. The roofline on the shop is 12' tall. Gives you an idea about how much snow buildup we have.
Lady and Maggie have a circle they have run in the snow to get outside and get some exercise.
This is the icicles and snow hanging off the back of the house. UGH!
The windmill is 5' tall. I haven't driven in two weeks. I can't get the car out of the carport. We are driving the GMC 4 wheel drive or we wouldn't be able to leave at all.

Busy Weekend

I spent a busy weekend at Amanda's house. This room was the spare room. It was full of boxes and misc items from 5 years of remodeling. Well, after two grueling days, a little paint, and lots of sweat the room is slowly looking like a room for a little boy. Since my departure John has finished the trim around the windows, chair rail, hung the mini blinds and valance. The carpet should be in next week and then the crib will go up and Amanda can finally wash ALL of those little boy clothes and really get ready for Gus.
Very fun!
