Jewel- Wow she is getting Big

Update

So much has happened in the last few weeks. First of all I apologize for not updating the blog before now. My computer crashed and I lost nearly everything, including my pictures...which makes me sick to my stomach. However, one good thing came out of it is that "HEY DUDE, I'M GETTING A DELL". I've ordered it and still waiting upon its arrival...

I've sold several horses and am currently down to 6. I have two more for sale and then I'll be down to 4. Thats it!! :) Yippee. Midnight found the perfect home with Nita in Idaho. Cheyenne found the perfect home with Vicki also in Idaho. Harley is with the perfect family in Colville, WA. Amy is a vet tech and able to care for him properly. He is doing AWESOME!!

Mr. Bob is recovering from viral pneumonia...he was very sick. Thank goodness he is better...I was very worried.

Last but not least we have a new family member (I know, I know, I sell horses and get a new dog). Yes, we have a new dog. Her name is Sassy and she was rescued from a puppy mill in California. She is the sweetest little dog and looks like Molly's sister. Pictures to come. :)

Know I love and miss each of you.

Riding Horses on the Beach

Above Bob riding Gunner.

Pearl and me enjoying the beautiful ocean air

This ranks right up there with some of the funnest things I've ever done.

Instead of footprints in the sand it is "Hoof Prints in the Sand"! :)

October Get-A-Way

Bob and I got away for a few day s and went to the Washington Coast. We had a great time with a few laughs along the way.
Above: Bob thought it would be fun to drive on the beach...needless to say we got stuck. Thank God someone came along with a truck and pulled us free before the picture below could happen.

I guess they got to surf the night before. Yes, the car is in the sand nearly to the windows...
Below is the view from our room in Ocean Shores, WA.

We loved this little seaside town and will definately will go back and stay again. It was wonderful!!

A cute little lizard where we stopped at a lookout near Vantage, WA .

Beautiful view!! The river was beautiful too!! ;)

Gramma & Gus
Gus loving on Molly on the lawn mower

All boys, young or old, love a big dog!! Maggie loves the loving.
Abi & Tinkerbelle out at the pond

Poor Little Harley

Harley has been lame
Jeff and Dr. Belles came out Saturday. Dr. Belles gave Harley a shot and then wrapped his hooves after Jeff trimmed him. He is doing okay.
He doesn't like being left at the barn alone when the horses go out to pasture. Poor little guy he just stands in his pen and whinnies.

If you look to the right of the fence it looks like tire tracks when in actuality it is parallel horse trails.

Jewel's color is not as red as it was now it is more of a dun roan like RubyShe glistens like stainless steel

Beautiful Jewel

I'm not sure she could get any more beautiful!
She is doing a lot of learning like tying to the fence.
First time under saddle.
Yes, she is only a yearling and no I will not ride her for 2 more years, however it is never too soon to desensitize them to the saddle.
As you can see Jewel handled the saddle the way she handles everything, "It ain't no big thang"! I couldn't love this little girl any more than I do.
