Update on Hannah

Well I'm sure Thursday, June 14th was one of Hannah's favorite days, as she got to ride Misty.
Misty is excellent with everyone! If she's teaching a 9 year old how to ride or barrel racing for me....she hits the right note for whomever is singing! :)
Of course, along with the fun stuff is the chores. Brushing a horse after riding is a chore but for a girl who has horse sweat running through her veins, its just plain fun. Stay tuned.....next go around is with the Arabians.....

Meet Hannah

This is Hannah (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). Hannah will be coming out, once a week for now. I will be teaching Hannah about horses and what it takes to care for a horse. This week we walked the property, brushed Jake, cleaned Jake's hooves, picked ticks, fed Jake grain and made sure his water was full. I showed Hannah bridles, saddles, hackamores, halters and a lot of stuff she probably won't remember. I know this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

More Happy Horses

Shasta, Misty, Midnight and Harley walked slowly to the barn to get some hay. I told Bob to whistle and see if Jake, Sweet Pea and Ginger would hear him. Well they did. As we watched they came up out of the dip with Jake in the lead. They were all running but it didn't take Jake long to get ahead and win the race to the barn. I'm so glad I had my camera.

Mom & Aunt Shirley

My Aunt Shirley, mom's sister, came for a visit from North Carolina. She and her husband Max moved out to North Carolina from Chatteroy last summer. It was great to see her again. I know mom misses her very much. Come back anytime Aunt Shirley. We miss you!!

Abi Loves the Horses

We had a blast

We had a great time. We baked cookies, fed horses, played with Barbie's and horses, watched DVD's, took a bath in Grandma's garden tub and finally fell asleep. I don't know which one of us was more tired!! Wow, I'm getting old!! LOLOL....

I love this shot! After we let the horses loose, I was walking out to take pictures. John took this shot of Abi running after me....what a perfect picture! She is such a Grandma's Girl!!

Well, it started with Abi at 6 months old, then two years old, now she calls it "My Tractor". It is no longer Papa's Tractor it is Abi's Tractor. :)

Happy horses running free!

Even though they have 60 acres to run, eat and play they still come home every day.
