Update on Ruby's Baby
I called Dr Belles to come out a do an Ultrasound on Ruby so we could know for sure when she was due to foal. The good news is she is pregnant, the bad news is she is not due in April but probably in July.
Hannah and Chad came out to watch the procedure.
Ruby was perfect. She just stood there and waited for Dr. Belles to finish with her job. I'm actually glad Ruby isn't due to foal until summer. The weather will be so much better than having a baby in mud. I'll keep you posted. ;)Posted by McKeown Meadows at Monday, February 18, 2008 0 comments

Midnight & Sky Playing in the Snow

Winter 2008
We have had dump after dump of snow in January. They say this is the biggest snow since 1969. The above picture is the a perfect example of tooooo much snow. The roofline on the shop is 12' tall. Gives you an idea about how much snow buildup we have.
Lady and Maggie have a circle they have run in the snow to get outside and get some exercise.
This is the icicles and snow hanging off the back of the house. UGH!
The windmill is 5' tall. I haven't driven in two weeks. I can't get the car out of the carport. We are driving the GMC 4 wheel drive or we wouldn't be able to leave at all.Posted by McKeown Meadows at Saturday, February 02, 2008 1 comments

Southwest Flight 485

Well, after a long weekend down at Amanda's house (getting ready for Gus' arrival) we were on Flight 485 that slid off the end of the runway. I could feel when we landed it just didn't feel like the other landings that I've been on. As we came to the end of the runway the pilot started making the sweeping left turn to the terminal. The plane just didn't make the turn. We slid off the end of the runway by about 10 feet. It was a rough skid but really not a big deal. The worse part of the whole thing was sitting on the plane for two hours until they bussed us back to the terminal. Well, it is a fun story to tell. :)Posted by McKeown Meadows at Thursday, January 31, 2008 0 comments

New Years
Amanda and Abi came for a short visit over New Years. We had a great time. It is never long enough but a few days is better than none. Above Abi is loving on Ernie. He looks like he is trying to get away but he wasn't. He loved Abi loving on him.
Abi on Tinkerbelle. It was coollllldddd but we had to go for a horsey ride. Harley hasn't had a very good year but Tinkerbelle is all better now. We had fun....Posted by McKeown Meadows at Sunday, January 06, 2008 0 comments
